Nearest Hondata dealer and tunner? Oregon?
Is there any in Oregon or a neighboring state? I would even be willing to drive all the way into Cali. if I had to. Or is it possible to tune and instal Hondata your self?

Hey man, email me if you're really serious about getting Hondata. I've used it (may order another one) and there's a guy up in Portland that's thinking about getting a Stage 4 with all the goodies. He's trying to organize an Oregon group buy of sorts, but at the very least could map your ****.

how do you do the mapping with hondata? Will I need hondaloger and a laptop?
I ran a JRSC on my D16 at 13psi with the Hondata but it just didn't cut it for me. Am building a B17 for some real boost.

There is no one in my area who has ever heard of Hondata besided me. People look at me funny when I even say the word. Redmond is kinda cut off from the import seen! Anyways, I don't want to change it very often at all. So with the 3b would I beable to atleast go from what every I run on the street to how much boost I run on the strip??? Can someone also try to set me strait on the whole map thing? I just want a hella fast reliable turboed daily drivable teg!!!

Yeah, you do need a dyno. There's one in Tigard at Matrix Engineering and I think there's another in Portland somewhere (though I don't know where for sure).
As far as tuning you car, it only takes one good map and you'll be good to go for street and strip (as long as you don't make any big changes). Also, if you plan to run more than 11psi you'll need to upgrade the MAP sensor as it only reads to 11-12psi. Stage 3 with boost will be all you need. Stage 2 even. Email me when you're ready to buy or feel free to ask more questions.
If we can get 7-8 people together, I'm sure we can get a better price.

I won't be ready for awhile. I still have find a new block, build it, and get all my turbo stuff. Hopefull by the start of summer though.
I am planning on swaping out to the 3 bar map sensor. I would like to run 1 bar pretty much all the time, but would like the option of taking it way down if I want. will that still be possible. Would it run well with the Apexi Boost controler? Have you dyno tunned before? How much will it cost at Matrix?
Thanks for all the help, its nice to know of someone that is not half the world away who seems to know what they are doing.

The amount of boost you run isn't really an issue as far as the fuel map is concerned. As long as you don't change turbos, injectors, manifolds, etc., you can use the same map. Any boost controller you use is fine.
I've been to Matrix a couple times for the dyno and the owner is a really nice guy. The price is good.....especially if it's my car Seriously though, I don't remember regular prices. It's not really an issue -- if we get enough people we can rent it for the day and tune everyone's car.
There is a lot to benefit if we can get a group of people in on this.
