Default Hondata question

Getting ready to get a hondata 2b. My question is my gsr ecu has a code 13, which I know says to replace with known good ecu. Car runs fine though. So I am wondering if I should get the p72 setup for hondata or don't risk another problem and get a p28(I know I won't have a knock sensor and I have a skunk manifold so secondary control doesn't matter). TIA

p72 is a great ecu!! Well your code 13 may have nothign to do with your ecu but rather a sensor. Code 13 if I'm not mistaken is the BARO Sensor (atmospheric pressure). It could be just a broken sensor or a unplugged sensor. My advice to you is to keep your p72. However if you are still convinced that the p72 is a bad ecu then you should just sell it to me for dirt cheap! Let's say I buy the p72 off your for 20 bucks?

If you are getting the code for BARO sensor, then you need to replace the ECU.
The BARO sensor is INSIDE the ECU.

Yes, but Doug@hondata says the car will run just fine without the baro sensor. Map sensor tells the computer the same information.

On a MAP based system the baro sensor only makes very minor corrections to a/f. You'll hardly even notice its not there.

No experience here, but if it's a baro pressure sensor and the map sensor gives about the same info, the adjustments to you a/f should indeed be minor (unless atmospheric pressure changes a huge amount one day which it does'nt, usually it sits around 101.3 +- a bit)
