hondata question

right now i have a 17 VSS - speed sensor cel on my car , but the car doesnt boost . does hondata allow boost when i have this cel on my car?

Vehicle Speed Sensor is on the tranny

Why dont you try replacing the knock sensor????

Why dont you try replacing the knock sensor????

I want to but dam 160bucks for a new one from honda.... I will get another one but just curious, can hondata be tuned or even boost with a CEL?

This is true, or just get a p28 ECU

Check the VSS to see if it is bad. To check it locate it on the transmission. It is up on the top.
1. Check for voltage at the electrical connector of the VSS. The positive wire on my Civis is black/yellow, the signal wire is blue/white and of course the negative is blck. Check to make sure the positive wire is getting voltage. If not you have a open circuit betwwen there and the fuse box
If you are getting voltage to the electrical connector on the VSS proceed to step 2
2.Place the front of your car on jackstands. Locate the signal wire on the VSS (It is blue and white on my Civic). Connect the positive lead of a voltmeter to the signal wire and the negative side of a voltmeter to a good ground. Hold one wheel still while turning the other wheel. The voltmeter should pulse btween 0-5 volts. If not replace it.
