Default Hondata is a life saver again!

Today while coming to work I took my car to a friends shop to let him drive it. I realized for the last couple of days my car seemed to sputter at idle. Well after i left his shop, i boosted just a little as i was leaving and I throw a cel 16 (Fuel injectors). I figured i hit boost cut and it just threw me in Limp mode. Nope...My issue was a faulty injector clip. The actual soldered wire broke and was coming out the clip. Im just glad hondata threw me in Limp mode. .

Moral is watch what you buy even from friends It wasn't done purposely tho.
My motor could have blown today.

That's a plus when you have a system that can detect problems and throw a code. My DFI Gen 7 does them same.

I boosted for 6 miles trying to make it home on 3 cylinders when #1 cylinder injector clip came off. I had to use boost just to make it home LOL. Anyways, it didn't hurt anything. Also, its not so much hondata that saved you as OEM honda that saved you.

Having one of the injectors not firing will most likely cause no damage.

if your are boosting it 1-4th gear hard , you will run lean and fry a piston or something

You won't run lean with NO fuel. Well, i guess you technically will but it won't burn so it doesn't count You will if it's partially firing though.

i threw code 16 right before i blew my motor. 6k rpm @ full boost w/ whatever happened to those injectors = no good. pissed me off.
