hondata and higher boost and emissions(experience please)
i know there is people out there that are running higher boost levels with honda( say 17+ psi). I want to know what you think of the system at this type of boost level. I'm looking for 400whp but this is about 90% street driven. Would I be better off goin with say a DFI setup also will I be able to tune the car to pass emissions. I don't care if I have to put 2 cats in my car as long as I can pass emissions. I'm in jersey. once again I'm lookin for people that actually run higher boost levels, and if so explain your setup somewhat.
I tried to pass AZ emissions with my stock injectors, OBD2 p73 ecu and jrsc bypass valve wired open so there was no boost.
Failed badly
In the Emissions parking lot I swapped in the 440cc injectos, OBD1 p72 with Hondata, and undid the baypass valsve so it would have boost again.
Passed with less emissions than a post Taco Bell fart.
Since I had passed the OBD2 scan on the first pass I didn't have to do that again and the sniffer test was a breeze on the OBD1 and was super clean.
The key is tuning the Hondata very well for the part throttle and keeping it in closed loop like it should be.
