i have a modified p28 ecu for my hondata 2b for my 99gsr and i was wondering if i can run the car with just the blank rom chip until i get it tuned, or do i even have to install the chip at all.

 

there is a jumper that if disconnected will allow the car to run on the stock fuel maps. you can't otherwise run the car without a fuel map ROM chip.

If you have oversize injectors you will not be able to idle the car properly without tuning the hondata or at least running a base map.
