Default holley pump?

anyone have experience with holley pumps? i drove up to tucson this weekend (about 45min.) and when i got there i realized the fuel pump was being LOUD, and when i got out of the car it was whining so bad it was louder than the exhaust. i had good fuel pressure and A/F was ok, so i let it sit for a while and it went away. the shop i go to in phoenix said that holleys overheat, and it was kinda hot out but not too bad. should i be worried?

they get louder as your tank gets lower...usually. Were you somewhat low on gas?

no, like half a tank, it was really loud though. especially outside the car, like i had a big a$$ drill inside my rear fender wells. working fine now, just worried me alittle.

sometimes if you have a prefilter and it gets clogged it can overheat the fuel pumps.
