Hmmmm....I have a really bad vacume leak....

I thought I was going to have to stay ANOTHER night in the cause my lung was actually collapsing again...
Well the Doctor knew that couldn't be right so he checked my setup....he found a vacume leak (an actually vacume leak) on one of the valves going into my chest...

Im home now and feel much better now that I don't have a tube sticking out of me!!!!
Im off for the next 5 days, so Im just going ot relax and try to recuperated.

Man, thats a small one
...I had a patient several weeks ago that underwent a right pneumonectomy (entire right lung removal-due to lung cancer-yep, smoker). Since there was no lung on his right side, the drainage from the cavity was severe. You should have seen the size of his tubing...I would say three to four times the size of yours. Man, the drainage was...to say the least, pretty nasty. He even had to have the old school glass jar system (same principle as the one you had, but each jar held about 2 quarts) because there was so much drainage.
