does anyone know how much does it cost to get one? i called a local auto shop and they said the gasket is 2.6mm and drops the compression about 1 whole point or little less.. tia

I can't recall for sure but I think I payed about 300 for it.

 

thats what i thought.. no offense to anyone from dynamic autosport in irvine, CA they quoted me 690 for the gasket.. what kind fawking crack did they smoke.. i even asked him a few times if he was sure about the price as their shop is listed under "authorized distributors" on HKS website..

 

I saw them at options autosalon. http://www.optauto.com. I think it was somewhere around 250-270. Good luck.

if i remember right.. there are two versions of the HKS thick headgaskets and one costs 2x if not more than the other kind.. the difference is the construction (and id assume quality).. one will run 300 or so and the other around 600-700.. I wish I had my HKS catalog laying around to give you the names of the different type but i think one was like a "bead construction" and the other i forget..

anyway that might explain why DA's was 690
