gsr turbo or b20/vtec turbo?
my current set up is a b18c1 in my civic and i'm having alot of issues with my b18c1 block. i was basically going to turbo my b18c1 but plans are stopped for the time being until i get the problem resolved. i was seriously thinking about getting a b20 and reusing the gsr head. what are some positives ane negatives of gsr turbo vs. b20/vtec turbo. thanks.

TTT... I'm probably going to do a B20/Vtec as well. Some issues that have come up are:
1.54 R/S ratio is a little low, creates more sideloading which is an increasing problem at higher RPM
Oil and coolant leaks if not done properly
No block girdle on a B18B or B20, but you can add a Z10 or GSR block girdle
B20 has weak sleeves so you'll want to resleeve it with iron ductile sleeves
*I wouldn't make a B20/Vtec turbo without resleeving it.. You could just resleeve your GSR to 2.0L and turbo that, I would do that in your position. If you do go B20/Vtec, I'll buy your shortblock to rebuild If I can't find a GSR shorty then I'll be going B20/Vtec as well most likely
