I've hit 557whp on 93 pump gas. I don't recommend trying this.

thats a 35r so i dont really think that power on pump is uncommon. i mean i wouldnt drive it everyday but its not to uncommon also i freaked out at the low Tq # but then seen it was B16

i think you're doing the latter. PSI is meaningless if you do not know the CFM at any psi level. volume > pressure
well i would/will like to prove that it can be done

but your missing the key point of PSI vs. CFM and the block build differences of honda and mitsu.

which is strong SOLID iron or HOLLOW iron ? a 4G63 has a soild block and not open like a honda which is why they can run higher cylinder temps.

4G63

B18C1

can you see the difference in blocks? why one do you think could handle more cylinder pressure with the same CR? then thats where turbos come into play with different CFM's at different PSI's

WASTE of money on a turbo THAT IS NOT the best of both worlds. sorry but things dont always work as they should.

also what works for alot of DSM guys does not mean it will work on a honda, like running 35psi EVERYDAY on a stock block go figure.

also the SC61 is a non ball bearing 35r so im going to guess and say that a SC62 may be alittle bigger.

once again take a VW motor apart it's soild exactly like an EVO motor why because they were made for boost

The motor I have is a stock 91 2L 16v, it wasn't made for boost, but VW over built the bottom ends(solid iron block, forged crank/rods, strong main bearings, etc). I'm running 22psi for ~350whp though. I will be making some changes to a better flowing setup so I can make more power at less boost.

I have a Dart block, so I don't really have a problem with Hondas at all...LOL Running 540+ WHP on pump/meth for the past two months now. I am sure I can get 600 WHP on pump/meth later down the road.

Did you know that the older 92-95 H22 blocks were closed deck?? Those cant really handle too much boost though - something about the piston rings not holding up ...

I'd be wiling to bet I could run 550 whp on pump gas DD if I wanted. I made 540 whp on pump gas without any issues, just didn't want to push it past that number. Its all in the parts and how well you build the motor, and the guy tuning the car.

just have a boost controller and you can turn it down or up whever you want. However with good boost control, you should be able to get decent traction with 450whp on the street.

Built/sleeved/Eagle H22
9.2:1 CPs @ 88mm

520WHP 370 TQ @17 PSI conservative tune on pump 92 (Played it safe... There was room for more....) I beat the **** out of the car for over 10 K miles so far...... It made 630/460 on 114. Turbos maxed

235/60-15 M and Hs with AVCR boost by gear ( in addition to a couple of other traction controll tweaks borrowed from the old school ) hooks every bit of it by third gear. I pull 2 PSI in second and it hooks solid as [freak]. SUprises the **** out of Evos, STIs and bikes

By The way all the SC61 shares with the 35R is the size of the wheel, the design IS different and they flow differently.

Its not the open deck that owns hondas, its shitty piston design... The Hs sleeves are stong as [freak], but the FRM wont polay with forged internals.

Indeed the OBD1 H22 and JDM H22 are closed deck. Not that it makes a **** of difference... ANyone tring to make power is going to sleeve the block anyways.
