Just wondering whats the most anyone's made on the stock bore size

 

A friend of my just made 638whp @ 32psi using a gt35r. Stock GSR head ports, sleeves, and eagle+cp combo.

To be honest I'm also curious to see what people have made out of the stock 1.6 but, at the same time this thread is somewhat pointless (no offense) because the sky is really the limit. With sleeves, pauter/manley rods, forged pistons, 116 octane, a huge turbo and good race porting/cam combo I bet you could get in the 750-(maybe)900whp.

 

quite true, but it seems everyone jumps straight to a bigger bore.

 

Bigger bore makes it that much easier to get to your power goals. If your spending money on sleeves, huge turbo, etc. Then you might as well bore it...IMO. The real question is not how much power its capable of but who is willing to try for make whp without a bore. It would be interesting to see nontheless

 

thats what im doing right now. 81mm sleeved b16, manleys and arias flat tops. gotta give room to bore incase of a screw up.
