higher PSI = harder to start?
ok guys i have a b18 turbo i my dx hatch and a few days ago i wanted to take my friend for a ride. When i went to start the car, it cranked , started and reved then died. I know this could be multiple things but what i thot was weird was when my friend told me he was having trouble starting his DSM @ 30psi i thot that maybe he had a point. Anyways i popped the hood and turned down the boost on my hallman RX (from 8 to about 4psi)......I went into the car and cranked it and it started first shot.
I thot that maybe it was a coicindence but today it did the same thing and i turned the boost controller and it started again first shot.
Can someone explain this to me as i have never heard of anything like this.
thx
ALEX

Are you 100% positive you have it hooked up correctly? Because it if it backward, you'll think you are turning the boost up but you're actually creating a vaccum leak.....which would explain why your motor would die/be hard to start.

Re: (iceman24)
it does this often??
coulda been a freak occurance like loading on gas at startup or something like that.
Or, you just pulled a pre-me and pulled out before you should have
even a new car will either not crank or crank/die if you dont give it time to start correctly
