if you just did a valve job, you should have adjusted the valves upon installing the head.

look for a vaccum leak.

alright, i did the valve job but i still have the high idle. i guess its cause of a vacuum leak... how do i check for that???? and another question, can you run a turbo on an obd2 ecu??? i havent scanned the CEL yet but i was just wondering... thanks for all the help... will keep you all posted....

take some 2+4 spray it around anywhere you think there is a vacuum leak. the engine sound should change when you spray the carb cleaner on a vacuum leak.

i went and scanned my check engine light and it had to do with the map sensor and threw too much fuel and o2 sensor. im thinking its the map sensor not reading the boost but i am only boostin 7. i change the boost to 5 psi but still no difference. i unplugged the map sensor and ran it that way and now i have a lower idle 1500 now rather than 3000. i need some major help. any ideas or thoughts on this one?

booo shame on you for telling him to spray carb cleaner in his engine. heres what you do.
1. block off your intake completely. find a rubber grommet or something and secure it so it doesnt leak under high pressure.
2. remove a vacuum from your intake manifold and plug the end you removed it from.
3. hook up an air compressor line to that vacuum line and inject air into your system. do not pump more psi into it than what your turbo setup runs.
4. checking your boost guage frequently look for pressure drops.
5. spray the engine down with soapy water. bubbles = vacuum/boost leaks
6. you just killed 2 birds with one stone you found boost leaks and vacuum leaks.

#2.5 - make sure your cam doesn't have any intake valves open, otherwise it will be pointless.

So you took your MAP sensor plug off and it still runs? IIRC those are the symptoms of swapping your MAP and TPS plugs. I can't recall because I've never done that - all my plugs are *always* marked with their function.

im pretty sure the tps and map are on their designated plug. i went and scanned the CEL its throwing map sensor code and too mcuh fuel and o2 sensor... you know if i could use the GM sensor without a chipped computer????
