So is basicaly all you guys are saying is that higher static compression results in errors to be more of an impact... as far as fuel and igniton?

Higher compression yields more violent detonation pressures then given lower compression as well as the same fuel and timing factors?

Thanks guys.. never really "understood" why higher static compression is worse off. I knew it was... but just didnt know why!

i'm running wiseco 11.25 c/r in my h22a, and i'm just about finished parting together my turbo kit. i wanna run about 15 psi on race gas on race day, and maybe 7-9 psi on pump on street. is there a head gasket that i can use to lower my cr to like 10-10.5? if so, let me know which ones are best and where i can find them. of course i'm having it tuned properly, no need to let me know that.
thanks
daniel

Yeah I have alwasy "thought" I would have to rebuild my LS/VTEC just to add boost. I have approx. 11.3:1 according to the build. After last nights run against my boys Drag kit-ed old ring equipped GSR powered SI coupe I am considering a boost project over the winter......

Any tunning insights..? for high C/R other than low boost levels?

Would 6 psi be too high (stock drag kits rated boost)

all in the tune as they say,
i'm sure ppl here know way more than me.
but i'd say if you have your tuner put in some extra time "perfecting it" you'd be well off.

should be a really cool setup if you get it working right.

The thing is my boy has an old (as in rings are old, close to a hundred thousand miles old) and he just put a drag kit on engine and it ROCKS.

WOULD A 63 trim (drag gen 3 kit eqquipped) Be 2 big for a 11.3 cr Ls/vtec?

Thanks
