High compression+JRSC=Bad idea?
so i have a Ls-Vtec motor i wanna add a Supercharger to. Car is a daily driven car. Here is my motor set up
B16 head decked (belive compression raised up to 11:5)
Omni 70mm throttle body
Itr intake manifold
Comptech Icebox intake
Hytech replica headers
Ctr Cams
Dual Valve Springs
Ls bottom
J&E low compression pistons forged
3" piping
What im worried the most about is if i will be having to high of a compression for the supercharger? If i did run one, should i run low psi instead? Basicly the setup will come with a Jackson Racing retard control, water injection, crv pullys and the supercharger itself. What would happen if i used the car with stock injectors, fuel rail? Inno ill probably need a tune as well

You need to figure out what your compression is for real before you ask these questions. If you have J&E low comrpession pistons, what compression are they? How much was milled from the cylinder head?
You should run it with your ECU chipped with a tune on Crome, Neptune, ECtune, Hondata, and forget about that boost retard stuff, etc... You cannot run it on stock injectors unless you put in all the JRSC fueling stuff (rising rate fuel pressure regulator, etc...) and that stuff is crap and hard to work with. Chipped and tuning is your best bet with a set of 450 DSM injectors.
All these questions and more have been asked and answered in this thread:

Re: High compression+JRSC=Bad idea?
So i should be fine if i kept my low compression pistons? It used to run 8psi when it was turbod, all i done to the motor was decked the head, headers, tb to 70mm, and intake
just bought RC 440 injectors too

JRSC is not like a turbocharger (GM made this mistake thinking this way as well). Remember, unlike turbochargers that use exhaust energy to generate positive pressure, the supercharger uses the crank pulley and the engine's rotating assembly (creating driveline loss) to generate that pressure. when it take more power to MAKE power, slightly higher compression is best to use

Why do you think the compression is so high? The low compression pistons should bring the compression lower than stock, and the head being decked is almost negligible unless there were some serious gouges on the head. Either way, with a tune you should be fine with JRSC.

I don't see why not. Can you get in touch with Ricardo and just ask him if there is any reason not to run a little boost on it? That would be the best thing to do.

Re: High compression+JRSC=Bad idea?
sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but i have the same questions. Looking to run an LS/VTEC set up and JRSC. My tuner says to go high compression (maybe as high as 12:1) and 93 oct. fuel. Does this seem safe?
