Default high boost helllp

ok i put a greddy td04h kit on my 96 dx hatch...problem is that is boosting 10psi, and all i have is an fmu right now, so i want to keep it down to about 8psi. how could i do this?? i tried lengthening and shortening the wastegate arm and seemed to not help...what could it be? im pretty sure greddy kits dont come set up for 10psi stock. oh yea i bought it used also

i unscrewed it all the way to the end and it didnt help....then i screwed it the other way to make the arm shorter and that didnt do anything, not even make it higher...the only thing that seemed to change was there was a lag around 8 psi, but then it still went to 10

Are you using anysort of boost controller? If not you may want to look into one. Also do you know what you internal wastegate spring is? Are you 100% sure that your wastegate is working correctly, I would run a test with some compressed air with the pressure set at 5psi to see if the wastegate begins to open, also listen for leaks to make sure that the wastegate controller is not defective.

i tried using a mbc with it adjusted all the way low and it made no difference, except it seemed to spool it faster

You can't use an MBC to set your wastegate pressures lower.

Tap your vac source directly off the compressor housing instead off of the intake manifold.

Try the compressed air trick to test the wastegate.

that is where its tapped from....so an ebc will allow u to lower boost?
