Hidden turbo d16y8
Hi everyone
i have a 96 civic 4dr with a d16y8 engine and a manual tranny.
in my country it is illegal to install turbo on cars that didnt come with turbo at the original.
i want to improve horsepower and power generally, from reading i understand that the biggest imrovement will be turbo.
please help me and tell me how to install turbo and hide it on a d16y8.
i will be very thankfull to you all

Re: Hidden turbo d16y8
Or you could keep your car legal, swap in a B18C5, slap on some bolt-ons and a tune, and make the same amount of power as a turbo D. If you aren't allowed to install turbos, I'm guessing finding a competent tuner to make your car run properly will be even harder than figuring out how to make it invisible.
There are things to think of other than the turbo itself, if you have to keep it stealth for legal reasons. An intercooler would be a no-go, limiting how much boost you can safely run. Gauges are a no, too, so you won't be able to keep an eye on your motor. Then you have to figure out tuning. You have an OBD2A car, which can't be properly tuned, and I'm going to go out on a limb and guess there is some kind of plug-in testing, which you'll fail immediately if you switch to a tuneable option.
