hey guys, got a question for yous
Regarding ball bearing turbos. I heard that the garrett turbos (i'm looking at a gt25) ball bearing style cannot be rebuilt, apparently once you open them up, u cna kiss the turbo goodbye, something to do with balancing them...can anyone tell me if a ball bearing can be rebuilt or not?
secondly, I have the chance to buy a t3 garret turbo or a t25 garret turbo, both second hand and both ball bearing (thats why I need to know if they can be rebuilt). the price of the t3 is teh same as the t25, but I am making a street driven car...I don't want too much lag, so does anyone know if the t3 is going to be too laggy? I am going to be running 8 psi at maximum and apparently the t25 turbo is sufficient for this purpose....any thoughts?
