Do you guys running the vafc hack get hesitation whenever you apply full throttle?
I get this hesitation when i try to apply full throttle (trying to get avcr to self learn duty cycle), but part throttle the car runs fine. My setup is H22 w/fmax kit @ 0.5 kg/cm2 (upgraded to t3/t4e), portflow PnP head, RC 440's, msd btm, vafc, avcr, and 0.057" headgasket.

I also got the FJO wideband and had to set the fuel setting to -50% at 1k rpm to get a/f ratio of 12.8-13.2. The higher rpm settings are at -28% but the a/f's are at 10.8 from 5.5k to 7.5k rpm. I'm going to lower the 6k-8k rpm to -32% give or take. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

dont really get any hesitation with mine, neither does my other friend who runs it. Well, besides the split second it takes for the turbo to spool of course. Is this your first turbod car?

 

yea, it is...i was running the mf2 and 2 injectors but i ditched it and i'm currently using the vafc hack until i save up for a standalone....i only get the hesitation at full throttle....i'm going to tune it more though and see what's up...just wanted to check if other vafc hack ppl were getting hesitation

It's basically wiring in a resistor pack so you can run peak and hold 450cc DSM injectors, while using an AFC set at about -40 across the board to idle them. The negative setting ont he AFC also modifies your MAP signal enough so that you don't need to run any kind of MAP limiter(check valves, etc), and is good for up to 9lbs of boost, I believe.
