alright imma try to describe this best i can. i just got my oil pan retapped on my 94 LS, because of a quick shitty weld job before. tha first time i got my oil pan tapped, it was leaking a pretty good amount, because sumone told tha welder to just weld it up really quick. i just got it rewelded today and everything was lookin great. turn tha car, on gave it sum throttle, left it on for about 10 mins, no leaks. then all of a sudden after like 15mins, of being parked i decided to take a look just to make sure again. sure enough it was leaking. not as much as it was before but still leaking. now we checked tha oil return line, oil pan gasket, and eveywhere else to see where it could be leaking from, but couldn't find anything. now my question is where could it be leaking from????? another thing is after i drive tha car theres no leaking. but after sitting for a while, it starts leaking. WTF????? any help is really appreciated......

 

Mine leaked through a hole about the size of a hair in the weld, couldn't even see it.

Bought some JB Weld (lol ), never looked back

 

i think theres like a very slight chance its leakinn from tha weld. anybody know anywhere else it may be leaking from??

 

Get them to weld it on both sides of the pan. (inside and out) that will make sure its not that.

 

yea thats tru....damn i should've had them do that from tha beginning.....

 

are u using an oil pressure gauge? if so check that?

 

nah man im not even using one......
