Well don't worry about the boost pressure then. If you want 300, then get 300whp with what you have. There's plenty with what you have to do it. repair and drive.

it took me 20 lbs on a stock ls with a garrett 57 trim .63 a/r to make 300 whp... i was on a blox cast manifold though... i dont have any experience with other turbos but for what you're looking for and my experience, id say its a good option. i never had any complaints with it...

it's the dyno, 11.8@120 would read more like 380ish-whp elsewhere....unless your car is really light

Your tuner is known for being very good at what he does.I must admit that the numbers and info you gave dont really make sense. Please give a little more info regarding your setup.I would think with that turbo and 20 pounds of boost it would have made a bit more power.

that's what i'm saying. then again when is the last time you ever saw a 300whp teg do an 11.8@120.

between that turbo, the pressure and that ET my guess is really that it's making more than that power level

in other news. OP the 50trim is a great match for that engine. if you wanted a bit more top end with similar to slightly more power dump the .48ar for a .63

lol. you should've just said your tuner was st00pid... he's effing awesome.

with your trap times it definitely sounds like the dyno. has to do with correction method, correction factor, etc i'm willing to bet.

i was thinking i should stick to the 50T and I'm sure I'll be able to hit the 300whp marker with a few more pound of boost....my tuner is known to be one of the best tuners in Toronto so I'm sure he'll be able to get her up there.. idono if you guys herd of him (tony the tiger LMAO ) Dynamotorsports.. i haven't seen a lot of people hit 265 on a stock ls on only 8 psi..so it has to a lot to do with the magic he works...with the 50t don't you think its gonna choke up when i try to hit higher numbers like 340-390..???..s

p.s it took me 20 lbs on a stock ls with a garrett 57 trim .63 a/r to make 300 whp" holy snap.. bro how long did your motor last on 20 pounds i herd the max you should b hitting on stock is 14

Well, tony should be able to take care of it. We're very familiar with him here and his reputation is uncanny. So you should go for it, and let him decide what boost pressure you'll need to hit your goal. Speculation only brings disappointment, so just let the man do his work.

Good luck to you.

motor lasted about 2 years before something let go in the head which started a chain of events that screwed me over, it was tuned to rev to 7500 and I was beating on it all the time so that didnt surprise me at all, jason had said something would let go in the head before my bottom end let go... and my setup was a blox cast manifold, garrett t3/t4 57 trim .63 a/r, skunk2 intake manifold, 2.5 inch piping with a treadstone tr6 intercooler and rc 550's. only thing done to the motor itself was headstuds to prevent a blown head gasket. here's a vid of me going 11.8@114 when i still had the gsr transmission, since that time i changed to a gsr gear set with ls final drive and that made me pick up 5 mph or so... i ran the 120mph pass twice when jason was there and he messed with the tune a little bit, but theres really no way it was above 325 or so... most it ever dynod was in 50 degree weather and it was 318whp 269tq at Ragin' Racing's DynoJet.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJNnLFN0l_8

ps. i'm shifting into 5th in this run^^^^... on 24.5" slicks with a gsr transmission, hence the change to gsr gearset with LS final drive...
