if im not mistaken, if air is leaking when its at idle, it means youre leaking boost too.......i wouldnt be too sure of myself though, butt search into stuff about leaking BOV's.....im sure it has something to do w/ it. keep up w/ the install!

check to make sure your wastegate is working properly, and that all of your vaccum lines are routed and functioning properly.

Sounds like the problem.. Try another bov, I bet you'll have boost.

You also mentioned a loud sound, sometimes its a good idea to re-torque the manifold bolts, turbo to manfiold bolt, and wastegate bolts after the car is started (warmed up) to make sure everything is sealed 100%.

Hope this helps,

Try removing the BOV compeltely and plugging the opening.

If you get boost then, the BOV is too leaky.

Don't drive too long that way, no BOV is hard on the turbo.

Check your fmu...is it on reverse? Check all the charge piping. Make sure your wastegate is on tight.

I have the answer for you my friend. The eclipse BOV that you are using is prone to leak, and it is your problem. Most people run a "crushed" Eclipse BOV. You take off the BOV from the flange, lay it flat on the ground, and smash the top in with a hammer. I have the same blowoff valve, and I don't know why or how, but crushing it, within reason, stops the leak. Don't go postal and smash it flat though - just slightly and your problem should be fixed.

It is normal for the bov to leak at idle, that isnt the problem. The bov is seeing vacuum from the manifold at idle and therefore is open. sounds like you have a charge pipe loose or a sealing surface that isnt together(manifold to head or manifold to turbo)

Do you have a boost gauge? That would help a lot. And yeah, get rid of that DSM BOV. DSM BOV's are prone to leak. Get a Blitz or something.
