Well I recently purchased a B16 Head and had it ported and built.

When i relaized that the spark plug insert or the thread on one of the spark plugs holes was Heli-coiled!!!! Looks like it was done correctly..

buy my question is... Will it hold under racing conditions and high boost???

I hope so!!! I dont feel like wathcing my sparkplug go through my hood!!!

What does everyone else think?

 

if it was done right you shouldnt have to worry about it

 

If you're able to screw it in and torque it, it should be fine.

just check it maybe weekly to see if it backs out any.

The good thing is that the spark plugs dont require so much torque!! I really hope it holds it down!!!
