Default HELP: Some Issues after Turbo install...

Alright, just installed my turbo onto my B20. Everything custom done by me, T28, HKS manifold, yadayada, full writeup later. Anyway, I'm running the AFC and 450cc injectors, plus an ECU chipped by J. Davis. I also am temporarily running open turbo and no 02 sensor... Whenever I dip into throttle, it doesn't seem to want to boost over, say, 2 psi... Also, on occasion, I will let off the throttle, have a loud backfire, and then the car will run like utter **** until I restart it. I, of course, am running a constant code 1, but I also got a code 3, which is the map code, shouldn't the AFC be taking care of that? Anyone have any ideas or experience they want to share? I am not too worried, as I want to get the exhaust and 02 hooked up before I worry too much, but I don't want to have to be fuxing around and wasting my dyno time trying to diagnose problems. Sorry for rambling. Help me out!

first i would get the whole setup completed with downpipe and o2. if it's primary o2 that is going to help control your fuel. second, is the chipped ecu supposed to work with the hack? are your 450's dsm or rc and are you needing to run a resistor box and are you running it if you need it for your injectors? the afc should take care of the map if it's set right, but i would guess it has something to do with the chipped ecu and using the hack.

if you have a chipped ecu similar to the uberchip do not run the hack.

The hack has been installed and running properly for a few mos. now. The chip is also supposed to work with the hack, but I was told it's rich in boost, so I may not have pulled out enough fuel. Also, the car is OBD-0, so only one 02 sensor... but wouldn't not having an O2 sensor just put the car in open loop and make it run off the maps? Anyway, thanks for the ideas, I need more.

You'll need to ask J.Davis himself, but I'm assuming the ECU is setup to see boost without throwing a CEL.

Do you have a diagram of how you've wired everything up?

Sonny

PS-Are you using a gasket between the manifold and turbine flange? I can't find that ***** anywhere.

No gaskets anywhere... save oil drain.. From Homemadeturbo I was able to gather that it has to do with the 02 sensor being temporarily removed...
