Default Help! Is this a real Blitz BOV or some knockoffs? WTF man

Paid $170 for a brand new Blitz BOV. The BOV didn't even come in its original packaging. Seller claim its NEW. Doesn't have the polish look that the Blitz website shows. See a lot of imperfections on the finish. No serial # anywhere, no country of origin anywhere.

Here are the pics.

Real or Fake?

It's real. Definitely a great deal if new, but you're missing the vacuum line. I don't know why they're saying it's not worth $170.

edit...I paid $190 shipped for mine over a year ago. So, you're minus a box and vacuum line for $20. Great BOV. Some people don't like it because it doesn't make ricer squeaking noises. BTW, the finish isn't supposed to be really shiny.

it came with about 2 foot of vacuum line. since my car is already setup with all the lines and stuff. im just replacing the BOV... and connecting it to my old lines.

basically went from Blitz SS to a Blitz DD..

hopefully this is legit, is new and works.

Ebay bov special works wonder yo. For 170...I can buy 2 or 3. I am sorry you wasted you money on buying another blitz bov. There is really not need to get the newer style unless your previous one took a ****.

$170 is not expensive for a BOV. The cheapest Turbo XS is $130. Unless he's talking about a DSM, I don't know.

HAd both the SS and DD.
The SS was much louder.
The DD provided less surge but the SS wasnt too bad at all.
I ended up using the SS horn on the DD (which got rid of the dual stage) to get back that WHOOSH again.
If I coudl do it again Id never buy a authentic Blitz, SSAUTOCHROME all the way!! Their TIAL knockoffs look nice!

Definitely real, the fake Blitz DD BOV's don't have "Blitz" actually written on them, I searched ebay for a while, and I noticed that.........Also I believe the knock-off's have a red gasket, while the real ones are blue. Look's real to me!

sucks, didn't know that the DD didn't make the SS sound... i'll put it on and see how it goes... most likely i'll stay with the DD. turbo surge is not good.

------------
Summit version has more bling to it.. gasket is light blue, compared to mines, which is dark blue. the filter on mines has 3 small dots, where as the summit ones shows no dots..

Haha, what is the "SS" sound? The DD has a clean sound of air being released, but it's not obnoxiously loud. My turbo has never surged. I don't know what the problem is with the other guy's setup, but it's probably vacuum related.

As for the studio picture of the semi polished "Summit version," it has been lightly polished and arranged, then overexposed to brighten things up, including the gasket. I just went down to the basement and checked for dots on the filter. I have 3, just like your counterfeit Blitz. Look closely and you can see dots on the "Summit version."
