Hey,

I have a 95 GSR turbo, and I just finished installing everything, but I came across a problem.

My problem is that when I start the car, instead of idling, the car revs to redline by itself. Well not to redline yet, becuase I shut it off before it hits 5k. Even when I disconnect the throttle cable, it still does it. Anyone have a clue? I dont check Honda-Tech that often so email me at kings1eyguy@yahoo.com if I dont respond to posts. Thanks! you have a vacuum leak somewhere on the intake manifold, this happened to me and it turned out to be a popped of vacuum line so i got some zip ties and fixed the problem

 

is your iacv on tight that happend to me and mine was hanging on by one bolt

 

If its reving to redline then he has a HUGE vac leak. Should be very easy to find.

 

Your throttle body is stuck open. Get carb cleaner and spray it in there and wipe it out the best you can. Hold butterfly open and clean as much as possible.

Or you have your throttle cable on too tight and it is holding the butterfly in the throttle body open.
