Default help please

okay i posted that my car was smoking and got great feed back now i just finished pulling the head off.. the turbo had a lil and i do mean a lil oil.. second there are minor scratches on the wall of the cylinders.. you really cant even feel them.. some said valve seals other said piston rings.. if it were the piston rings.. would the walls be really scratched?? and if its the valve seals.. what should i be looking for.. thanks

some minor scarring on the cylinder walls is fine, as long as it doesn't catch your finger nails, you're usually okay.

a lot of times, when your ringland or ring gave out, the excess carbon from misfiring combustion makes the ring sticks, to where they won't expand at all and they will not even touched the cylinder walls, since they are not expanding.

Did you try to do a leakdown test before pulling out the head ?

stan the man.. whats up.. i didnt get a chance to do the leak down test.. im taking the head to get all the seals done.. just want to make sure for i could take the block and get that done if needed..
