Default help on overheating turbo si

anyone have any suggestions on this. I have a greddy kit on my SI running stock boost non-intercooled. I noticed a couple days ago while sitting in traffic my temperature gauge started to go up about 3/4 from the "H" mark. It didnt do this before when I first installed the turbo, and I have drove it quite a few times on some hot days. I also noticed while driving on the freeway or any kind of movement at all, the gauge will go back down to normal, however if I let the car sit still or idle it will creep its way back up to the "H". Like today I left it running to idle after I drove it around town, came back out and its reading all the way up in the "H". What could cause this?

did you check your water level?..make sure theres enough in there, including in the resivor.

remember to let it cool down before you take the radiator cap off!

you let it go all the way to the "h"? You might have blown the headgasket, I would check that first and then come back and tell us what you find.

maybe something simple you overlooked? Is your fan turning on? I would check fan and thermostat first. I thought I blew headgasket tooone turns out my thermoswitch for my fan stopped working.

what year si? 5th gen and 6th gen civics had a smaller radiater because the big 4th gen's were overkill for the cooling system of a honda, but when turb'd they cant keep the engine cool, especially at idle.....check into getting an aftermarket fan and radiator or try fitting a 4th gen radiator in...they stretch from driver to passenger side while the 5thy and 6th are only lil halfers....do a quick system check and be sure it isnt anything stupid like a bad fan, or somethin like that....all i kno is before turbo my crx ran without a fan ever kicking on, now teh fan is on the second im at idle....but the temp guage never moves....goodluck!
