Default help with my wastegate placement...

I am nearing the completion of my build and we are getting ready to start on my manifold. I've read a lot of ****, and I want to figure out the best placement for my wastegate to prevent creep/spikes. The manifold will be a topmount 1.5" runners, sch 40 303 stainless. The wastegate is a tial 38mm, the turbo a gt3561s, and my low boost setting will be 1 bar.

I am thinking, when the runners come back up from the bottom U turn, and head into the collector, make the pipe for the wastegate come off of the collector (still pointing up) so that it is in the same direction as the exhaust flow. I dunno if you can understand that or not.. I just didn't want to come straight off at like a 90 degree ange to the collector, if there is a better way.

Sounds good to me from what i've read, mostly out of the Maximum Boost. Keeps the gasses from having to flow against the normal flow. Good luck.

I've been thinking about it, and that's the most "common sense" thing to do, but we all know that doesn't always mean it will work the best... probably what I'll try though... if it wants to creep, expletive it I'll just let the turbo boost whatever it wants to push

Its basic common sense that alot of manifold designs dont incorporate, usually because of space constraints. And people wonder why they get boost creep with a 100mm tial and need dual wastegates.

You just want to keep the wastegate exit tube with a low angle from the direction of flow and downstream of the collector/merge.
