Default Help with misfire problem.

I just rebuilt my motor with eagle rods, JE 9:9:1 pistons, with stock boost on the greddy turbo kit on my 99 si. I keep getting a 301 and 302 error which is a misfire in cylinders 1 and 2. You can also hear it missing. The car has a new cap and rotor and the timing is at 14, nothing is wrong with the plug wires as those have been checked. The plugs are the bkr7e or something.

retarded under boost...

check your fmu, sounds like a symptom of FMU sticking...

does it happened at vacuum only ? if it is, I am pretty sure it's fmu sticking

I've been having the same problem, re-checked plug gaps, they are ok.... my plug wires seem ok, used to misfire all four, but for days now its only cyl 1 and 2..... no idea yet, when I take the turbo off I'm going to re-do the injector install and make sure everything is seated correct and all that...

Oh and when you say you can "hear" them misfire, what does that sound like?

Try gapping the spark plugs to 0.030-0.032, check the fuel injectors as well.

Its advanced at the moment. The plug gap is around .28 to .25. The misfire is very noticeable at idle, at higher revs you can hear it a little. Only when the car warms up. When you 1st start it the car runs fine. After a minute or so it starts to miss. Then the check engine light comes on.

I pulled the plugs and they are white as hell. Im running lean and have no clue why. Nothing has changed only rebuilt the motor with je pistons and eagle rods. Clogged fuel filter maybe?
