if it has a wastegate actuator on it then it is internally gated. it looks like a little can, with a rod on it.

oh , here's some question i have...

1. if you do have an internal wastegate, then does it have a spring or something you can adjust for the psi?
2. how can you tell what psi it is at?
3. can you make turbo that is an internal into a turbo that requires an external?

1. You can adjust the actuator valve on the wastegate for more or even less boost (right?) should be as simple as screwing the arm further into or out of the actuator to adjust boost. I'm not 100% sure on this, so maybe someone else can shed some light to this.

2. If it's on the car, go drive it and see how high the boost goes before it levels off. If it's not on the car hook up an air source to the actuator, watch for when the valve opens all the way, and look how much air pressure it took.

3. Yes, you can either weld the hole for the wastegate shut and run the external off your manifold, you can weld an extension off of the wastegate hole in the exhaust housing and run that to your external wastegate, or you can buy a PTE or Turbonetics housing with the wastegate port already blocked off, and then run a wastegate off of the manifold

4. Yes.

Yep, a tial 38mm, 40mm, or 44mm gate would all work great on your setup. A 38mm is my gate of choice because it's cheap and works great, but if you want to up the ante the 44MM is a lot bigger and only about 100 bucks more.

as long as there are no cracks it should still hold up. you may want to try temp coating it just for insurance though since it is used. but i really haven't heard of those mani's cracking or anything. only the drag ones. yeah, there are tons of people around here who could help you out if you plan on going turbo. we could also put the turbo system on for you as well in just a few hours.

i've been thinking you guys...its going to be hard going to school and working on weekends. school will be starting soon. only 16. dammit, i love cars. going turbo is going to be hard. i get about 350 every 2 weeks. but when school starts i will only work weekends. probably 150 every 2 weeks. should i just sell all my stuff that i already bought for my turbo and just go ls/vtec? the price for vtec will be lower. or should i work my *** off for the turbo?

Personally i'd do LS/VTEC. Too many things to go wrong with turbo, and when you start making more power more **** starts breaking.

nah...just save up bro. if you need help...i'll help you piece one together which will be just as cheap as getting an LS/VTEC motor done. trust me...ls/vtec motors aren't that reliable either. if you've gone out to midway often...there's tons of people out there who want to get rid of their ls/vtecs because of the common problem of the head and block not aligning. if you go ls/vtec, your motor has to be built properly and perfect. if not, you're gonna see oil/coolent all over the place and your car's gonna run like ****.

on top of that...it'll take more money to go fast if you decide to go all motor, and you'll probably have to drive around with just the shell of the car(which i think is freaken ghetto! especially if your car is a daily driver) if you want to have a fast car.

i don't know bro...you decide. i don't want to make the decisions for you...all i'm saying is if you save a few hundred $$$, i could help you put together a decent turbo setup that will get you into the 13's easily and make over 200whp easily as well without having to take your motor apart.

hmm...i think you could get somewhere in the $175-$200 for them depending on tire condition.

what motor do you have? i'm curious cause i'll need to find out what manifold you'll need. everything else is a piece of cake.
