Default Help me pick next setup? D16

I am trying to figure out what I should do for my next setup. Goal is to hit 300whp on a d16y7 with eagle rods/cp pistons.

setup #1 would be a internally WGed gt28rs on a lovefab shorty

setup #2 would be lovefab shorty, t3/t04e 50 trim, .48 a/r and the extra money saved would go for springs and retainers to bring up my stock redline(6800).

Everything would be tuned with hondata s100b with a 2.5" DP back and rc440's maybe bump them up to 550's. Thanks,

Pfieff

I'd do the head buildup for the extra rev's and go with the t3/t4. The gt28r is a beautiful turbo, no doubt in my mind whatsoever, but the price is outrageous. Don't give in!

would you consider doin a mini-me on your motor? i think it might let you get a few more lbs/min flow allowing you to run a lil more boost on that t3t04e and keep it running more efficient and away from the surge limit....

if you can afford it i would get the ol' disco potato i would get that, but a vtec head with a cam ie zex 59300(which is being proven to be good with boost in a thread by sohcmshue) might work very well combined with the t3t4...

just some suggestions....

I considered the mini-me but I want to do something different. You don't really see any high hp y7's out there.

My D16a6 doesn't like to rev very high if I were you I would stick within the stock rev limit.. I run a ballbearing turbo 50 or 55 trim, it hits full boost at around 4500 -5000 in 2nd lower in 3rd but I still wish I could either stay in the gear a little longer or the boost built up faster. It is fine reving to 6800 but I don't really like doing it daily for some reason.. I probably should get my tappets adjusted, it make a rattly noise after 6000rpms.

Option #2 is what I would go with. It's similar to what I'm doing with my D16.
