help me diagnose, burning oil PICS
so i pulled my tranny today and look what i notice when i took off my header...
taking in account my motor isn't broken in yet and all the other exhaust ports are free from oil, i don't believe its the rings or h/g. looks to me like a bad valve seal on the left #2 exhaust valve. because oil is only on one side of the port. ANY INPUT is appreciated, before i go ahead and change to seals

Regardless your gonna have to take it off anyway! It's not like you can put a treatment in there and it's gonna go away. Just do it

so taking the head off is gonna solve my problem? at least a "hey dude check your compression and do a leak down" first, come on man. fyi, compression is about 240 across the board
why would i waste my time taking the head off if it's a valve seal.

im thinking if it was my h/g (remember recent build so it's a new h/g) it would leak more uniformly, and both sides would be cover in oil but the right side of the port is dry it's only the left side that has oil on it. compression checked out okay so im ruling out the h/g but i will also be doing a leak down just in case

Re: help me diagnose, burning oil PICS (HmgLauj69)
something just crossed my mind. when tunning at DSR, Lawrance mention i had put to much oil in it. (about 5 qts, Helms rebuild spec ) that might have raise the oil pressure and forced oil through the seal. damn, i dont know if that'll require me to replace it or not. i might as well though.
