okay so just as the title says I'm going from the b18c1 to the b16a. I need some help.

car:
94 eg
currently has b18c1
hondata s300 tuned for boost
turbonetics t66 turbo
rc750 injectors with resistor box
b18c type R intake manifold
b18c type R transmission

questions:

can I just put the whole intake manifold and put it on the b16a?

obd0 to obd1 swap.... my understanding is that I would need a obd1 ecu an obd1 distributor and I'm set.... so can I just swap the motor with all the same stuff I have right now?

the tune on the hondata s300 would it work well enough to drive to my tuners shop? I know it would need to be re-tuned but would it be okay to run it with the tune from the b18c1 provided I can just swap the b16a into it?

the transmission would it work on the b16a?

basically can I take the b16a engine and clean swap it for the b18c1 engine even though it is obd0 vs obd1?

reason:
I have noticed that the b18c1 is shooting some white smoke under acceleration and it is burning coolant and oil pretty bad at this point so I have a b16a that is just sitting there and I know it runs well so my thoughts are that im going to take the b16a put it in the car for the time being and then rebuild the b18c1 get a smaller turbo and run some more power through it!

Obd 0 and 1 are determined by the ecu not the motor however things such as the dizzy, alt, injectors have different style plugs

 

k thats what i thought so the b16a with all the same accesories like alt, injectors all that good stuff running the way it is currently with the b18c1 should run the b16a fine?

 

Yes you can just swap over from b18 to b16. The Intake manifold on the c1 has a unique bolt pattern so that is not interchangeable
