I'm wondering if I can run the b16b basemap on my b16a. Will it work?

 

Yes it would work, however there would be no point.
The b16b engine uses different cams, intake manifold, compression etc.

There is no such thing as an obd1 b16b engine ecu therefor there isn't a b16b obd1 factory basemap.

You would be best off using a basemap tailored specifically to your engine setup.
