Default Help to diagnose engine whine

hey,
I posted a while ago regarding this problem but no problem found. I made another video that I beleive shows the whining better. You can hear it on the from about 0:02 to 0:03. Its a short almost, grinding/whining sound. Turn up your volume and use headphones if possible

heres the link:

thanks!

that sound clip isnt really the best...

you might have better luck with the hood open in front of the car..make a longer clip as well. that would help alot.

it is hard to do that when the car is moving, that is also somthing I should have mentioned, it onyl does it when you are in gear, moving, in nuetral just revving it doesnt do it

You ever hear that whining for a few seconds after you turn your car off? I notice it sometimes. Sounds kinda high pitched, not really grinding tho.

If it doesn't do it in neutral, I'd have to guess something in the drivetrain or maybe in the turbo. Not that that helps much

I didn't hear the sound clip but I've heard an overly tight timing belt whine before..

i hear that sometimes too, its like the car is "farting", if you will. i have no clue what it is, i hear it UNDER the car alot better than on the outside of the car tho.

i cant for the life of me figure out what the noise is tho....o well...if it aint broke dont fix it.
