NX intercooler bar
I'm looking for something to help my car out in this awful heat. Is anyone running the NX intercooler bar? Is it anybetter than just using a purge onto the back of the intercooler? I'm trying to decide between this and a NX 35 wet shot. What do you guys think?

Re: NX intercooler bar (hybrid901)
hehe.. my uncle (mechanic, racing) just asks me to buy those windshield spray, and make extra hoses from the windshield reservior, then point those sparyers to ur turbo or intercooler, when u boost or VERY hot, just wash ur windshield (cooling ur intercooler and turbo) hehehe..
i never tried it, i don't have to, it's not hot here for me
so maybe u can try good luc

Re: NX intercooler bar (shadowdawn)
Has anyone used this or any type of IC sprayer? Any track or dyno testing? What kinda power increase are we looking at? How much will this lean out out AF mixture?

Re: NX intercooler bar (mplex2000)
Cooler denser air+same amount of fuel= Leaner
Right now I'm tuned at 12.0 so I am able to run a little leaner safely. I'm thinking about going to the dyno and just spraying my IC with nitrous to see what the gains are before buying. If I would spray a 35 wet shot into my charge pipe would it have the same cooling effect as a dry shot? Would there be any problem spraying it before the bov?

Re: NX intercooler bar (NotQuiteJdm)
If I gained 50 whp with a 35 shot would my car much leaner since the wet kit would only be adding fuel for 35hp? Does anyone have any power figures from spraying the IC with nitrous?

Re: NX intercooler bar (hybrid901)
It would be a preety sick product if some one made a constant Nitrous cooled intercooler.
Next to all the air rails going through the intercooler there could be a nitrous rail running right next to it.
Its probbaly out somewhere already just thinking that would be very cool

Re: NX intercooler bar (hybrid901)
I don't think it's going to mean that you are going to pack more air into the cylinders. It's not going to get THAT cool unless to spray the nitrous into the charge air stream. Otherwise a tiny bit of tuning should compensate for any small changes made because of the addition of the no2 bar.
This is all an opinion, however, food for thought. I could definitely be wrong. I would think though the main thing would be that you could turn up the boost a bit. Since the charge air would be cooler you'd have less chance of detonation.

Re: NX intercooler bar (hybrid901)
Also, it makes sense to me that with a turbo you would want the wet shot since it sprays AFTER the TB. Otherwise when you shift you are going to be shooting lots of stuff out of the bov.
Yet another edjucated guess
