I have a fully built GSR, with a Greddy 18G turbo kit, with Hondata s200B with data logging. this is all in a '96 EK. i recently put the motor in the car and started it up no problems. i drove the car for a week and still no problem. after i took the car to the dyno and had it tuned, i first encoured the shut off problem. while at idel the car just straight dies... once you turn it on again and give it some gas its fine... while the car is cold and is warming up no problems with idle or anything... perfect. once the car is warmed up the car just dies.... basically just stalls out at idle. and no its not the tune because i've tried basemaps, and everything so it is not the hondata, i've also tried differect ecu's.... same problem.

 

If its just a straight up cut - as if the igniton key were turned off - that could be exactly whats happening.

There was a recall on a lot of 96-99 Civics because of a defective ignition switch causing problems like this.

 

no sorry its not a straight cut... it stutters for a second... then it struggles for another second, an within three seconds it's off. kind of like there is a fuel shortage, or a shortage of spark.. i checked the hodnata log, and it shows at idle the A\F goto 18 and just shut off, i take out the spark plugs and i can see a bit of fuel on the piston but when it is in the warm up state the car is idleing perfect no problems, once it gets warm it does its act.
