help cant boost due to speedometer not working code 17
i just put a turbo kit on my car over the weekend and now my speedometer doesnt work. so i though it would be the speed sensor but it wasnt because i took off the cap and it still turns and there is votage going to all the wires. now im throwing code 17 which wont let me boost past 4500rpm because i guess the injectors are related to the speedometer so it just cuts everything off like a rev limiter. has anyone every seen a gauge cluster just go bad please help with any ideas or info thanks

ya i checked all my fuses under my dash and everything is ok and yes i extended my wires for my o2 sensor to reach my downpipe but i dont think that effected my speedometer because it was going up and down crazy for the past 2 weeks and now that im turbo it just stopped

the o2 does effect it. check to see if u have a short in the wires. when i extended mine one of the o2 wires was touching the frame of the car and stop my sppedometer from working. so a search under my name. theres a post about it.

Make sure you didin't get any fluids in the speedo sensor(water, anti-freeze, etc). I did a swap and there was moisture in the sensor, I got the same problems. I just blew air into the sensor to dry it out and that fixed it.
