Help!! Breather Question.
Hey guys,
do any of you have breathers in your car? like the one on the valve cover? I have one and it is spitting oil out everywhere!!!
On the stock motors there is no breather and that hole is connected to the intake. If this was the case wouldn't that mess up the engine if oil is being "sucked" in through the thottle???
I am FI'd so does this make any difference?
thanks,
phil

You might want to get a compression check on your cylinders. I'm afraid you will find out 1 or maybe more piston compresion is low due to blown ring landings. Or better known as fubard piston.
can someone explain why oil comes out of that thing on the valve cover? It would normally be connected to the intake pipe by a hose right???
If so wouldn't oil in the intake manifold be harmful to the engine? or is that hole in the valve cover supposed to suck air IN rather than blow air OUT.
thanks
