Default Help with Boost gauge question...

I just installed an Autometer Phantom boost gauge on my car today and I have a quick question. I was under the impression that when you rev'd up the car the boost gauge would go up to the correct boost level, in this case 5psi., instead it goes down to the VAC part of it and it stays at like 20, then when I rev it, it only goes back to 0. Is this just cause I haven't driven it yet? when I drive it should it go to boost or do I have a bad gauge? Thanks guys!

That's normal. Once the engine is under some load, you'll see it go up.

Your turbo will bulid up pressure when it`s under load , when you get going the engine gets loaded and the turbo will build up the PSI

Yeah, unless you have some dinky DSM turbo( ) on it, you're not really going to see boost in neutral.
