Headgasket Upgrades For High Boost?
Just wonderring some opinions on head gasket selection.
I plan on running a D16A6 @ 18psi daily within 2 months. Internals are built to **** with everything in the block n head except sleeves. MSD 6 BTM Ignition. Ive got ARP head studs and Ill be tuning with Turboedit on 93 octane and the car is driven about 20miles daily.
I was planning on using just a stock D16A6 headgasket because they are the cheapest and thickest (10:1 compression is where Im at with it)
But I dont want to be pulling the head every week because the sucker popped
Thanks

you should be fine. just be sure you torque the head studs correctly
a little copper spray wouldn't hurt either.

Does anyone even know why people use copeerspray?
Ive read in a few threads its good for nothing except making a huge mess when your gasket blows that takes forever to scrape clean....

It helps take out any imperfections that might be in the block or the head which helps seal the gasket better.
