Default headgasket or rings?

recently my car started to idle odd and consume some oil (about a quart every 2 weeks or so) but only when i drove it to school and back on teh weekends (about a 2 hour drive ~ 120 miles)

i thought the rings were going on it, then i put a catch can on the end of my breather hose from the valve cover and noticed it was catching water/oil mix. It seems like it alternates between eating oil and coolant every month.

It's a stock B16 with stock head bolts, i'm thinking maybe i lifted the head under boost and messed the gasket up, and anytime i boost it now it eats a little coolant. When i just putz around and don't boost it won't eat coolant, only oil.

sounds like u are having problems with the gasket under boost and rings probably taking a beating. for a more accurate determination, perform a compression test and leak-down test.

Do a wet and dry compression test, that will let you know for sure if its the rings, well the leak down will do that also, but two tests is better than one
