Shouldn't have any problems if you have a decent quality manifold, if you are worried about it get your mani HPC'd first thats what I did, so it can't rust. I have heard that is more of a problem, the heat being trapped between the wrap and the outside of your mani not being released causing corrosion to occur faster then normal.

Enzo from headertech advised me not to wrap my all-motor header cus it would damage it.. He also said it would damage any kind of manifold. He also says is causes rust. He said it wouldn't break it, but the header definately wouldn't last as long... I dont care, im wrapping it anyway. Plus jet hot coating the inside and outside too.

Wrap them both together...

That's how most I've seen have done it when there close together.

There have been a few post on here before too, with then wrapped in pairs on simular setups if ya look around.

the point behind wrapping exhaust pipes on a turbo car is to keep the exhaust gases hot, because as they cool they slow down, and slow moving exhaust gasses = slow moving turbine wheel. that being said the further you get from the turbo outlet the less gain you see. We usually wrap the entire header and upipe, but only the first couple feet of the downpipe on WRXes.

Yeah the fiber glass type will smoke pretty heavily for a while...especially if you get oil on it. You'll think that you have a serious problem with your car. But it smells like pancakes

LOL so true. Smells mm mm tasty When I wrapped the header on my GS-R it smoked like a bitch. After a few hours it was ok though. It dramatically reduced the underhood temps. A great investment
