Uhh.. what motor? Generally the head isn't that big of a problem, it's the pistons/rods/sleeves. Your head comes into play at higher RPM, or so I thought...?
Anyway, 10 psi should be good on just about any stock Honda.

hahaha I would go that far. But I would recommend getting a B16 or GSR head and doing a LS/Vtec conversion. The LS head will take ALOT of work to get it to flow good and put out good numbers (dont get me wrong it can be done). I think you would be happier with the conversion rather than a strait LS setup.
How much power are you looking to make? that’s what you need to ask yourself and are you going to want more? If you want alot of power and room for error then I would recommend sleeving the block and running CP's or Wiesco pistons and Eagle rods.

so you think pistons and connection roads would be the better next step besides head work? im not goin to swap out the motor but would a good port and polish be good? and an angle valve job?
I am not saying to swap the whole motor, just the head.
I think your going to spend more money in the long run with the LS head than a Vtec head. A stock Vtec head will flow well and you won’t have to worry about p&p and all that.
How much power are you looking to make and what are your goals?
