that head was perfect when i sent it out and many ppl can vouch for that head which wasflawless. the only thing that i can think of is that maybe got scratched in transit as fedex is kinda harsh with packages. to make good here on honda-tech, will paypal 50 bucks to get it resurfaced that way ur mind can be at ease.

the head was just re surfaced by a great machine shop and sat in the same place since. the head will seal fine its perfectly flat...if you arent comfortable with it resurface it, the owner already offered to pay for it just to be fair.

you paid 1150 shipped for a head with

-700 $ port job
-500 $ brand new valvetrain stainless valves and new valve seals
-200 $ performance valve job
-50 $ FRESH resurface and cleaning
-300 $ core for the head

thats almost 1800$ and you have a great head that will make tons of power...the owner has offered to have it resurfaced I dont understand why this is an issue

Im not doubting it was resurfaced(its obvious) but by the time it got to me the surface was all nicked up. i just wanted some opinions. Other then that (and the missing cams) the head looks great. I just dont want to run into problems after its installed.

I completely understand that but I was under the impresion you dont want the head.

the scratch in the picture is not even next to any hole that sees pressure. thats just an oil drain back hole for the oil from the head to go back into the oil pan so its not going to leak or cause any sealing problems.

and I told you the cams are coming in a seperate box asap. but you can also add the cost of cams to my price list I made

there is nothing wrong with that head.i personaly vouch for it.you will be fine man,go ahead and put a dab of honda bond on it(which really its not needed)to put your mind at ease.the head is more than useable like d@nny said if you are really uncomfortable with its present condition, the seller already offered to pay for a resurface, which really isnt needed anyways....again that is not a problem, put it on your motor and make some good power!!

I think I will be more comfortable after it has been resurfaced, and is completely smooth.
