Default Head leaking oil!!! What to do?

I had viren assemble my block and now after like 200 miles the head is leaking oil out of the front of the engine when it is running. A lot by cylinder 4 and some by cylinder 1

The block was sleeved by GE to 84.5mm and the headgasket was supposed to be an OEM honda piece with ARP Headbolts.

I pulled the plug and they were not oily so at least that is good I guess. So what should I do now????

could be the cam seals leaking. is it the front left corner?it sometimes drips down from the top. you need a golden eagle cam seal man!! I always use honda bond on my seals and valve cober gasket corners. just to be safe. no leaks when i do that and use a GE cam seal.

i too have a GE 83mm block and have the same prob. Mine only started happening when i changed to a cometic head gasket. But i hear all cometics are crap. So i need to swap to a bored stock gasket and see if it stops.

HAHA thats pretty funny since I already have a GE cam seal installed. The head gasket is leaking not the cam seal. It is coming out right between the block and the head.

well, there goes your first mistake, as far as Vireen building your motor. Vireen don't actually built the motor, Stoid racing does, and I have delat with him in the past because I was fixing one the block that this guy bought from Vireen. He didn't impress me at all.

Your head may be warped, thus causes the leak
Your block may be missing the 2 dowel pins
Your block may not be decked flat
Your headgasket may be installed upside down ( it can happen, Stoid installed a rod backwards before, and I had to redo it for one of Vireen's customer)

I heard before that the head bolts might have to be retorqued after so many heat cycles? could this fix the problem?

I just checked my resevoir and there is a slight amount of white oily buildup floating so I definitely know that its my headgasket. What should I do? Pull the cams and retorque?

hey brock, i do not know what the problem is, but i have sent you numerous IMs on here with no replies. i have called you many times as well, but you never seem to be at your shop... i just want my money back, and i truly do not think it takes this long. i am getting tired of waiting for the money, so i would like a reply ASAP and let me know what is going on. i am tired of seeing you post on honda-tech but not answer my IMs. i did not want to make this a public conversation, but you have left me no choice. just let me know when i will get my refund...

I also encountered the same problem you have. when i first put together my GE motor, i used a cometic headgasket and ARP head studs, torqued to 80 lbs. i was leaking oil infront of the block, i couldnt tell which cylinder though (#1 & #4 area). then after a while, i decided to retorque my head, it wasnt out of specs at all, but decided to go ahead and go to 82 lbs. after that, the leak stopped.
This week, i recently pulled the head off because i had another head that i wanted to run and ordered me a GE headgasket. so i put together the motor, sprayed copper gasket, torqued the head to 80 lbs. and cranked it up, everything looked cool. so i drove it to the gas station to get some gas, looked under the hood and it was leaking oil again in the front. so i brought it back to the garage and decided to retorque the head to 83 lbs. the damn thing stopped leaking. so i came to this conclusion, the head is straight, so it had to be either the dowel pin is too long and it needs grinding because the dowels are located on #1 & #4 area and thats where its leaking or GE didnt deck the block straight. hopefully me experience will help u out, good luck with your project, peace!
