Hallman boost controllers, any experience w/ these?
I'm trying to find a MBC more accurate than my basic TurboXS. Got this web page from the latest Turbo Mag:

the ceramic ball and spring sounds like a cool set-up...any experiences w/ this company?

Just got mine in the mail today. It doesnt look too bad. I think it will work pretty nicely. I read a ton of threads on it in the search function..just check 'em out there...
itegd, which model did you end up getting? I'm thinking about the ceramic ball one you can adjust from the cockpit...
I got the one with the dial on the controller itself. It was the 50 dollar one. I am just gonna tune the hondata with whatever boost I feel good with and keep it at that.

i used to have a hallman mbc on my supra...very simple to use (just turn a ****) and held boost better then my my previous electronic controller (hks evc ez, which is regarded the best electronic boost controller for mkiv) it held over 2bar with no spikes or creeping what so ever.
O.K., I just ordered one w/ the steel ball and cockpit controller (that's gonna be so convenient). I'll let you guys know how it performs when I get it...
I wonder if there is a way to make a DIY Hallman MBC?
Can anyone get closer pictures of the components, I want to see if they have anything of the like at Home Depot, Lowes, or any other hardware store around my house.

I've had my new Hallman MBC for a couple of weeks now (w/ cockpit adjustment)...and it's probably one of the best investments I've made...
I'm set at 12psi and holds boost pretty darn good...no noticable spiking...
I'm now spoiled...controlling boost from inside the cockpit is a BIG plus, you don't know how many times I would of had to stop open the hood and turn the MBC. The Hallman unit is very touchy and only incremental turns are necessary to make adjustments. Again, get the cockpit adjuster!!!
