Default Hadn't posted an update in a while.

Well, thanks to the "Beaver", I starved one of the cam journals and destroyed my head earlier this year. After some time off, a new baffled pan, and some funding, I was finally able to make the head complete.

Here's what I used:

-Supertech Nitrite treated higher compression valves (about .3-.5 static compression increase

-5 angle Valve Job

-Surface of the head milled .015"

-Omnipower bronze valveguides

-New Valve seats

-Type R Cams (Selling the GS-R Cams, PM me if interested, in my sig)

-Toda Valve Springs and Retainers

-Simple clean up of the Intake and exhaust ports. I know this will be a controversial statement, (hell, what do I care) but I found that through bench flow test of many of the GS-R VTEC heads only had an average of a 20cfm increase in flow of the head when it was port & polish as opposed to just a good clean up. that's why I concentrate on the turbo and motor to do its work, and not worry about the increased cost of Pnp'ing the head.

By the time it is all said and done, it's about a 9.8:1 static compression, even with the 9.0:1 pistons, which is great for the road course. And Naturally, OEM Headgasket

Perhaps a few pics to show you..

Here's the car itself..

Nice head setup. How far do you think you will be revving to? Also are you using any cam gears to go along with the setup?

Wow Rhdune. I do remember that. Did you take care of those problems that we talked about?

I'm probably going to about 9000 or so, but only occasionally on some turns, no more than that at all. as for the cam gears, I'm using TODA RACING GEARS.
